Do y'all think beaver may be shy of activity? On one particular beaver that comes to mind, I had to check my sets from a hillside to get that bachelor to move about.

I’m no pro but I did learn to never leave my tracks near sets.

I think that avoiding lots of noise in and around dens is good practice. I think we all have stories of beaver swimming between our legs while putting in a 330 over a den hole. Or seeing a beaver appear from a hidden bank den when scouting the location. You are in their space when you are near those denning locations. And, they have a terrific nose...walking up and the dam or bank can create issues for those SPOOKY beaver.

I think it depends on the specific individuals, as well as what they’ve experienced. Some of them are just plain easy to catch and don’t pick up on the clues before being caught. Some of them are very challenging.

It just depends in my opinion and experience

The stabilizer was a home made one.
