When change happens at the top and the top gets fired and wasn't able to continue with the layout, then how long will it take the new take over to wise up and start the economy by tooling up new or switching over for everything from making chips to snare wire. Yes, tariffs were only on some select things, but now it looks like we are in a full scale trade war. When will the present people start giving incentives to U.S. companies to make computer chips and batteries . Or is it even possible without the natural resources and high labor. Yes, everyone is saying a break away from China is great for long term, but just how many years is it gonna take provided we are not interrupted by a world war and who is going to make those smart chips for that on the cheap if we go there.

Yeah but about anyone could turn a screw on that and where would be the job security in that.

If our companies have tooling, machines and time available, then it can be done in days or weeks. If it is just tooling, then a couple of weeks to a few months. If machines have to be built the about a year.

So we are 3 years from there. Two to the next election and another year to get going. Or depending on the next election, maybe never.
Only problem is a ship wreck before then, lol.

If they have the material, tooling, machines and time on machines my time line is close. If they have to bid the work and build new lines to run the product,
then 3 years.

Lotsa things 'need to happen'.....or 'should happen'....but not much will happen except the continuation along the trail we have been on.
