The closer I get, the more I enjoy the hunt as well. Can take longer shots, but prefer not to.

Yessir. When you can hear the animal chewing you know you're close enough. Nothing like being close to a big moose in thick willows.

Bobby designed it, I stamped it then we painted it together. I’ve been fooling with leather gun straps on and off whenever I have some free time this past month or so.

We’ll add some color the next time and have it ready for the first caribou hunt most likely the weekend of the 18th.

Made one for my cousin Bam too

Really cool!! I like those paw prints! What season is coming up next? Inland shrimping season just started here. And muscadine grapes are coming in. You just got to beat the wild life. Lol

Keep it coming Ryan and Bobby! Looking forward to watching the season progress up there.

Nice gun straps too....they look like they would be work nicely on a Gibson Les Paul too!

I'd feel rich with a moose and a caribou tucked away in my freezer.

It felt good to share most of the meat with family. I've eaten moose or Caribou almost every day since so I'm pretty happy

Happy 62nd anniversary to two of my favorite people in this world. My grandparents made sure I learned how to hunt at a young age. They would take me out of school more than once a year so we could go and spend time on the land doing the things we love to do. I owe them everything when it comes to the life I live today. Endless encouragement, endless patience and Endless ammunition to name a few things that have helped me get to where I am today.

Both are still with us. My grandpa was just out to his cabin by boat yesterday. Hes got a couple nice boats He was hauling 1-2 sled loads of wood a day all winter into his early 80's. he did a solo Caribou hunt a couple years back despite some concern from some of the family (not me I just said you know your self best) came home with 9 Caribou My grandmother was cutting moose drymeat last week. Very thankful for them and all the lessons and memories they've given me.
