Hi! Gonna be my first year setting cables. Looking for a coating to hide my cables and make them more slippery? Any ideas? Thanks!

On snares I'd go 3:1 water to dip. Just one dip. I like the brown best.

Here's a post of mine from many years ago... I like the Formula 1 it is fast and easy when you have a bunch of snares to do. I also like painting them with a LIGHT dusting of camo paint. If you coil them together and spray each side with different colors of camo, when you un-coil them they blend in so well I can hardly find them. But the spray paint can be expensive when you have 1000 snares to do so I use the F1.

I mix the F1 like the can says only thinner, I add 1 - 1 1/2 cans of extra water, uncoil my snares and dip them 1 dozen at a time and drop them on cardboard to dry for an hour or so. They are then done. Just one dip is all you want to keep from impeding the locks performance.

I use the brown F1.

Time for the Formula 1, before....

I really like that F1 for fast snare prep! Enjoy!

I've painted them I've used F 1 on them and I've done nothing to them other then boiling In baking soda. Did It make any difference In my catch rate? Not that I could tell.
It's my opinion other then cleaning your cable It's a waste of time and money coating them with anything.

If you're using Formula 1, choose your lock WISELY !

Simmer in baking soda and save the spray paint for your traps.
