There you go Boone picking on your dad again, lol. I used about 12” to 18” of chain on my 550’s and 650’s with wolf fangs . These are #4 long springs and 36” of chain and shock spring, they will be used with a 24” single stake . Ha! Yeah we give each other a lot of crap over that. But the point being, different conditions, habitat types, etc etc. Same with chains.

I went with 18" length with a inline spring in the middle and plenty of swivels
