hey mark I try planting acorns, no luck, been planting seedily now and putting them in tubes they are growing great , in the tubes you get about 3 feet of growth a year , and the animals can't eat them A friend has had good luck doing them in a bed I'm the garden then transplanting. Easier to keep out chipmunks and squirrels

I don't need a million.......50-100 or so.......
Anyone have Swamp White Oak on their place? I know some parks plant them for shade.
I really am only interested in true Swampers......not any other white OR red oak.....
If you have them, happy to pay what you need to gather and ship......
Thanks!
Zagman
Mark im sure you have plenty of offers but I can get you all you want. We have a lot of big mature trees on our farm. My favorite tree stand is in a swamp white oak. Let me know if you need any from me.

I know that whether I plant seedlings OR grow them myself from acorns, I will see little fruit from my efforts in my lifetime........(I am 57)
But, I DO see value in making the place better for wildlife, and the next guy will appreciate it!
I have some tamarack (larch) on my place that a guy planted 30 years ago.....he is still alive and I am thankful that he planted them! Hanging my hat on that! LOL
MZ That is proper forest management, doing for the next generation.
