I would think up there it's too late' The plants need to be estblished before the ground freezes. Check with a local nursery or where you got the seed for dates.
Every kid needs a Dog and a Curmudgeon.

I have some logging roads getting completed at the end of next week, Deer Creek Seed Company has a Logger’s Mix that a few have recommended- is the end of September too late to plant?...I can look at the extended forecast but might be better waiting to spring. Here is the blend:
Logger's Trail Wildlife Food Plot Mix is a blend of grasses and white clovers that will quickly produce cover. Logger's Trail is a perennial mix that will grow in low-fertility, acidic or wet soils, and areas with less than ideal sunlight. It’s perfect for wooded trails!
Blend Composition:
30% Elite Forage Fescue 15% Annual Ryegrass 15% Ladino White Clover 10% Alsike White Clover 10% Creeping Red Fescue 10% NZ White Clover 10% Perennial Ryegrass All that clover should attract grouse too.
It's been months since I bought the book, "How To Scam People On Line". It still hasn't arrived yet.

Here's the plan: I picked up Winter Rye and Forage Oats- I will Frost Seed my clover mixes in the late winter/early spring. I plan to plant the Forage Oats in kill plots which are the logging landing areas near gun stands. I'll take some before and after pictures, based on Mother Nature, it could look like the same picture.
