People do not recall very well that during Obammy’s second term crude oil topped $100 a barrel. There are some investors holding futures contracts at $200 a barrel for December, 2022.

For strictly political reasons, if the current regime (Obammy’s third term) screws up badly enough for gas prices and inflation to both further skyrocket the economy may collapse. Then employees will not be able to drive to work, businesses will fail, and people will go hungry. Maybe it will take such an event to teach many people the folly of electing corrupt politicians to RULE them instead of honest people to REPRESENT them.

Pretty sure price of oil never got to $200 a barrel. I think I'd remember, since I own a bunch of oil. I think it topped out in the $130 area during obama.

And actually it was $147.50 in July, 2008. Here in Ohio gasoline was $4.85 a gallon.

Filling up would suck, but my energy heavy stock portfolio would love it! I loaded up on producers and midstreams during the covid crash. Should have bought 10x more looking back.

I believe it is possible to have a 200 dollar contract out there but that doesnt necessarily mean that that is the market. Just means someone is about to take it in the shorts one way or the other.

I sense some prejudice, or maybe misinformation. Neither should be spread.

Say what you think is any of that so it could be addressed, if it exists.

Why would oil have dropped now from 120 if it’s going to go to 200 dollars a barrel, why wouldn’t it have kept climbing from 120?
