I think it's going from 3.80$ to 4$ a gallon here. I filled my tank on Sunday for 95$ and got 23 or so gallons. I'll need a lot of rats to pay off a tank.

I had to go to Brazil for work. Gas prices high their too, seems to be a global thing rather than a US thing Oil is like gold, the same price everywhere. The reason for the big difference in auto fuel prices is taxes. I believe in some countries the taxes amount to dollars per gallon, whereas in the US it is in cents per gallon.

OPEC is talking about a cut of over a million barrels a day.
Not to state the obvious but that is going to hurt.

Not to state the obvious but that is going to hurt. This after Biden went over to ask for an increase in production.

We will know for sure tomorrow.
Oil Prices Jump As OPEC+ Considers 2 Million Bpd Production Cut Oct 04, 2022, 10:45 AM CDT
Anonymous OPEC delegates: OPEC+ may consider 2 million bpd production cuts. Despite the growing worry of a severe global recession and the impact that would have on oil demand, the OPEC+ group feels that the markets are largely ignoring market fundamentals.
Brent soared to $92 per barrel on the news of a larger-than-expected OPEC+ output cut. *
2 million bbl per day it is. Just in time for heating season and we have an idiot that killed our production which gave OPEC the ball back. Hope the Trump haters feel it.

The U.S. was energy independent in 2021. It would not surprise me if the U.S. scores energy independent in 2022 with the increase in LNG exports. Opec (The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries) plus controls the price of oil. That is what it was formed to do.
"In 2021, U.S. natural gas exports reached a record high. We project continued growth in natural gas exports through 2025 because of increases in LNG capacity from facilities currently under construction. LNG export facilities at Sabine Pass, Calcasieu Pass, and Golden Pass will likely enter service much earlier than we had anticipated in the AEO2021, increasing the amount of infrastructure available for converting natural gas to LNG for export. Additional completed natural gas pipeline infrastructure will also increase takeaway capacity into Mexico."
