been out 3 times have seen a lot of them. only shot one each time for a meal , miss other shots laugh forgot to take pic,

I didnt see many in the Summer, but in the last month while Bear hunting I seen a huntable population. Ashland, Bayfield county.

There are more grouse this year than I ever remember seeing and turkeys everywhere too.

Trapper D my cabin is about an hour east of you, I was up there hunting last week and only saw 1 bird the whole week.

Year-over-year I would say our numbers are consistent, I probably see on average 4 birds every time I'm out. If you want to see more grouse... bowhunt if you want to see less... hunt them

Went for a wheeler ride with the fam last night and didn’t bring the shotgun……saw 6 or 7! Heading up north to chase them this coming weekend, hope there’s as many up there also! Happy trapping! ScottW

I just nicely got back from a two hour stroll through some of the most classic grouse covers New England has to offer. I flushed two birds. I've seen some incredible years and some bad ones. Locally, this is as bad as I can remember.
