Love the look and feel of thes kinda handguards only problem is no pre built attachment point. Anyone ever add a sling swivel stud or pice of pic rail to one of these ? Need two studs and a bit of pic rail ( one for bipod one for a sling and a pic rail for a IR light). Howed y'all go about it ?

there is a reason that everyone has gone over to Mlok , it is just easy to make attachments to

if you take the savings on the round handguard , you have to invent every attachment and engineer it yourself drill holes put nuts on the inside of the handguard

also what makes that round hand guard clock so that it returns to the same spot every time , or does it ?

time and parts can eat up the price differnce between the round and an Mlok quickly

Most the handguards with all the holes to add rails all the way around act as a cheese grater on you hands. I don't need rails full length and at every angle all the way around a handguard. It would be nice to add a sling to one like in your picture. I might buy one if it was made to take a sling. I would think you could add a sling swivel by drilling a hole and using a swivel that has a bolt and nut attachment. The one I have makes you wish for a pair of leather gloves if you carry it much.

I drilled a hole and bolted a stud to my handguard so I could put a Harris bipod on it. Worked great. Easy to drill.

I own a couple Yankee Hill Machine Todd Jarrett hand guards and really like them. Full picatinny on top, but the sides and bottom only have the rail out in the last couple inches. That give you a good grip without the cheese grater affect mentioned above. It also has a drilled/tapped hole at the end of the sides and bottom picatinny for mounting a swivel stud. Very solid hand guard with a meaty feel to it. They can be pricey, but a quality piece.

I’ve been out of the AR business for a few years so there might be others better and cheaper out there.

Mlok rail covers fix the cheese grater effect

you can fill all the slots you aren't using and you get a rubberized grip and no sharp edges pop them out any time you need to attach something a new light ect

I got a good price on some keymod stuff several years ago, then keymod accessories got harder to find and Mlok is the standard now
