As a property owner, can you shoot deer for free on your farm in Indiana?
Keith
Yes, but I prefer to save the deer on the farm for the boys and hunt elsewhere if I'm going to make any kills. I think it's been around 3 years since I'd have killed any deer.
I don't feel the need to pull the trigger any more and it's only $100 to buy tags if I do. But I will only hunt probably one to 3 time without the boys and it's not worth I
That price to me for that. Now I will easily spend nearly $1000 on gas and food taking the boys.
It's just the increase really ticks me off for some reason. Maybe because hunting should be free.
The turkey tag price analysis above is a good one. Not only can you get two better tasting turkey from the store for the cost of a tag. You don't get ate up with ticks, spent all the cash that goes with going hunting .
Heck before long it will be cheaper to hunt without a license and pay the ticket if you figured I have only had my license checked once or twice in my life. No I would do it but I imagine a guy would come out ahead financially but not morality.
Half a cow or a whole cow would be cheaper than what I spend on hunting each year for sure. I guess the state just wanted a bigger chunk. Well they nearly turned me off from hunting when hunter # are declining as it is. I can switch the boys over to sports or gun games and buy or raise cows. Let them shoot what they want on the farm and be done.
Edit.. I'm in quite a sour mood lately. Can't get anything completed and new projects/problems popping up. I just don't have the time to get things done. Then I get sour at ever little thing that irritates me like license price increases. It's not a big deal just irritates me when I'm allready irritated.
