Yes stick it to the outdoorsman !! It is sickening how these states increase things such as this to (JUSTIFY) paying for F&W departments. BUT ALL states are sitting on HUNDREDS of millions of dollars from covid relief they haven't used. Ky just handed the mighty Ford motor company a minimum of 300 million in incentives to build a battery plant here. Not to mention the cost of the 1500 acres the state is going to purchase and HAND them to build it on. Not meaning to hijack the thread but ANY increase in license isn't required to fund that department. Only reason I post this is back in the 80's the fish and wildlife was an indepenent department that was funded ONLY thru liscense sales. But the state had a budget crisis and the F&W had a 10 millin dollar surplus. So our great first Lady Gov did what all Dem politicians do, found a way to get their hands on it. She absorbed the F&W department into the state police. Oh yes did I mention the former Democrat Mayor of Lexington company got the contract to build the plant !!!! https://www.courier-journal.com/sto...ee-incentives-ford-factories/6088410001/

Here in Georgia, a resident can purchase a lifetime recreational license for $375 when they turn 50. Normal price is $750. I bought one 2 years ago when I was 55. Should have bought it when I turned 50, but I will still save $$ if I live long enough. Trapping license is not included as it's considered a commercial license. It's $45 annually. ![[Linked Image]](https://trapperman.com/forum/attachments/usergals/2022/10/full-11603-153794-screenshot_20221016_085752_onedrive.jpg)

God bless Alaska.
For my $45 general hunting license, I can hunt small game of course, and I can get free tags to shoot three moose, ten wolves, 1 wolverine and I think its 4 black bears, (no tags needed) one brown bear if I utilize it for food. The last time I hunted caribou up north the bag limit was 5 per day. deer were free no tags the last time I hunted them, (we don't have them here)
At 60 years old residents can get a lifetime hunting/fishing/trapping card for free. Awesome Thank god for Non-resident fees.

Landowners should sell deer and furbearer permits, not the F & G. They have no need to "manage" populations. They do that themselves.
Life ain't supposed to be easy.

I think deer season is worth more than that to many of us. The funds stay in the wildlife program I expect. I personally wouldn't pay $90 to shoot 3 deer.
