Our fees were increased too, by the provincial government that spends every waking second screaming about how the federal government is responsible for inflation. Lol

I don’t deer hunt but hunt ducks and trap. Think it’s about 80 bucks or something for all the license and stamps needed for that. I think Illinois is 25 for a deer tag and think it used to be 15. Lifetime resident sport/fish combo license is 765 bucks

Yes stick it to the outdoorsman !! It is sickening how these states increase things such as this to (JUSTIFY) paying for F&W departments. BUT ALL states are sitting on HUNDREDS of millions of dollars from covid relief they haven't used. Ky just handed the mighty Ford motor company a minimum of 300 million in incentives to build a battery plant here. Not to mention the cost of the 1500 acres the state is going to purchase and HAND them to build it on.
Not meaning to hijack the thread but ANY increase in license isn't required to fund that department. Only reason I post this is back in the 80's the fish and wildlife was an indepenent department that was funded ONLY thru liscense sales. But the state had a budget crisis and the F&W had a 10 millin dollar surplus. So our great first Lady Gov did what all Dem politicians do, found a way to get their hands on it. She absorbed the F&W department into the state police.

Oh yes did I mention the former Democrat Mayor of Lexington company got the contract to build the plant !!!!

Here in Georgia, a resident can purchase a lifetime recreational license for $375 when they turn 50. Normal price is $750.

I bought one 2 years ago when I was 55. Should have bought it when I turned 50, but I will still save $$ if I live long enough.

Trapping license is not included as it's considered a commercial license. It's $45 annually.

The last time I hunted caribou up north the bag limit was 5 per day. deer were free no tags the last time I hunted them, (we don't have them here)

At 60 years old residents can get a lifetime hunting/fishing/trapping card for free.

Awesome

Our Lifetime license would do me no good. It's only available as a Sportsman license and doesn't include trapping. It costs $1000. Since the only license I usually need to buy is the $10 license, I would need to live 100 more years to make my money back, lol.

Once you turn 65, you're exempt from having to buy a license (other than trapping). So even anyone who needs all the other tags like archery, turkey, bowhunting, etc would only make out if they bought it before they were 37.

$39 for otc you're lucky.
Here it's $41 for a deer draw tag that doesn't include the needed additional tags required. For me I buy the game hunting and fish tag combo with 2nd rod $34. Add the required habitat stamp and habitat access stamps $14. So just to put in for the draw deer it's $89

$160 non res hunting license not too bad. Of course, the tags will cost extra for big game.

Our Sportsman License for residents is only $60ish and that includes anything you want to hunt or fish. Still have to by a Fed Duck Stamp, Gator permit, and tapping license, but everything else is covered.

I paid $525 for my Indiana lifetime comprehensive hunting license,it includes everything except a federal migratory bird stamp. This was in 1996,it was a good investment.

Landowners should sell deer and furbearer permits, not the F & G. They have no need to "manage" populations. They do that themselves.

I think deer season is worth more than that to many of us. The funds stay in the wildlife program I expect.

I personally wouldn't pay $90 to shoot 3 deer.

40 - 50# of meat per doe, x3 is 150. Grass fed ground beef is $5 a #. Do the math.
