I'm looking at getting some spray proof skunk traps. What is everybody using? I like the flip style doors over the guillotine style, but can't seem to find any. Any recommendations/tips would be appreciated, thanks.

Are you using these live traps because your doing ADC work?
I have caught 100s of skunks In foot holds and they hardly ever spray. And if you use the right dispatch method It's just about fool proof.

Yeah, ADC work. But what type of dispatch method do you use?

Any cage trap can be considered a spray proof trap. All you need to do is cover the trap with any suitable durable cover to keep the animal calm and less stressed.

No need to spend extra $$ for a specialty trap. We have vinyl commercial trap covers for all our cage traps. They hinge fold in 3 sections for easy storage and set up.

In fact we generally cover all traps at the time of set up as a matter of good procedure. All animals feel more secure when they are held in a dark covered trap.

Most all of our cages are safeguard traps. Visit Wildlife Control Supplies and they will show photos of their trap covers. They will last a lifetime.

Use a needle. It's just about a scent free system.
