I used to experience phantom smells just going into a seizure but it's controlled with medication now. It was a warning to find a place to sit real fast.
Life ain't supposed to be easy.

Ever since my Dad died 13 years ago I've caught a phantom whiff of cig smoke. Kinda weird when it happens! My sister has the same experiences.

does wood smoke or car exhaust evoke any special memories? Not really, been around many a campfire and some car exhaust.....unless there is a joke in tnere Im thinking........must be a covid thing. no joke. some folks think there's a spiritual connection to such phenomena.

The senses are like special gifts and the more we exercise them the more useful they can become. Just imagine a dog smelling a rabbit trail and being able to know which way he went. I've had a few hounds that backtracked a lot, so maybe there is as much art in it as well as science.
A couple of times I've smelled flowers as in a funeral that came to pass, makes one think about chance happenings and if its something we can hone in on and refine it or maybe it was just a fluke. We like to explore this earth and space, but we really don't have to go far to at least experience some of 6th and 7th senses. With those things its easy for the outsider to assume evil verses spiritual and even the spiritual could be construed as good or evil.
When one sense starts to fail the others often become more refined. A blind person may hear or feel by touch with amazing accuracy. Regardless of whether its smell or some other gift, if you can refine it a little just remember to run the gift and not let it run you.
