Were right off I-75 exit 212 West Branch Michigan. Called "West Branch Wood Treating" We load semi loads of post daily, on customer's trucks and our delivery trucks. Not sure how far south you are, I know we send posts to Ginseng farms, Hops farms, Pot farms, High fence hunting clubs and Many Orchards, along with many many ranches and farms. Posts are treated for full ground contact. 3 1/2 inch x 7, 4inch x 8, 5 5 inch x 8.
Our 6 x 8, 8 x 8. 4,5 and 6 inch posts come 8, 10 and 12 foot long. We make pointed posts for driving into ground with fencing machines.
Don't spend your time cutting, limbing and hauling fence posts. We were turning out a 5 x 9 post every 7 1/2 seconds today for 10 hour shift.

you're only allowed so many sunrises... I aim to see every one of them!

I have had two of the larger loggers in my area say that they are considering shutting down as well, say the price of everything has gone up but the price of logs
except white oak (gotta keep those bourbon barrels being made) and they are getting what they were getting 10 years ago for everything else. The bad thing about it is that between them they employ about 50 people so they will be out of work and the spin-off of that will affect several other businesses as well.

You might as well be giving away pine pulp down here just to get a tract thinned on time.

They're working on saw log prices now driving them down with engineered lumber and docking the plantation grown.

Pole will be next.

With possible diesel and kerosene shortages coming, it’s going to get a lot worse. I’ve raised my truck loads of firewood logs price, but what good is that is you can’t find or afford diesel fuel to put it up and deliver ?

Northern MN is losing alot of logging operations also. Due to the decline in production, the mills have been forced to raise their prices and they are still struggling to get the product that they need. It's working out for me because I'm making more profit per cord then I ever have.

once general commerce slows down, there won't be a big demand for pallets.

and yes, our area seems to be Pallet Mill Heaven...for now!

I think this is going to be a HUGE issue this year in the NE that no one is talking about much. About everyone I know in rural NY heats with fuel oil and I just checked the price there and it's $5.64. With an average tank size of 275 gallons that comes to over $1500 a tank. That's more than some seniors make in a month on their SSI.
