I'm a visual learner and I think it's kinda fun seeing what different people do to make catches

So post if you want anything from sets to bait feeders to setups to catches

Here's a before and after of a standard dirt hole. I like mine drilled deep where they can't walk off with the bait. Sometimes I blend them a little to break up the outline of the trap bed

Here's a before and after of a flat set. This particular set used a bone from a cow that was already in the field. I drilled the hole in the bone to get the lure on the right side for the prevalent wind. The bone could be any prominent feature a coyote would want to pee on. Grass clump in a road intersection, log sticking into a road, etc etc

Steeltraps, that’s one of my favorite flat sets. I make it with broomsedge here.
Here’s a grubstake set as well as a staked bone set with a food lure

Blind set for chicken killer(s). I put in two blind sets because multiple sets and multiple baits had been ignored for a week. Scored a double with the blind sets first night. Made a believer out of me on how effective blind sets can be.

I don’t have many set pics on my phone right now. I can get more in about a week when I start setting.

Big hole set along edge of beam field and weedy ditch. Bait in the hole. That’s all I used here, just bait no lure or pee.

Here is a fire blackened piece of wood I use for a post set. Location is edge of a picked beam field and corn field where the edge of those two meets a weedy ditch. The black wood has a ton of eye appeal. This only got a shot of coyote pee. Produced two that season.
Close pic of fire blackened wood post set.

And same fire blackened wood post set from farther back so you can see where I set it for this intersection of edges.

One of the dirt holes I’ve got out. If I’ve got a log or a piece of wood for a backing, I always like to put a little gland lure or something on the front of it.

First year trapping, this is an old straw bale out in a field edge. Animal trail about 5’ from it. I mowed the trail in front of it this summer, in the snow I found fox and deer tracks. I put a pipe in the end of the bale. Ground deer with dobbins solution and lure, Murray’s fox call. On the back side i squirted coyote urine. MTP Urine. Thoughts from the experts?

Step down set at an intersection along a river bottom. Aged horse meat and fox urine.

That should definitely draw some attention! Sometimes hard to get that amount of contrast around here.
