warrior trapper Joined: Jan 2007 Posts: 23,825 Georgia	Yup, state law. Other than that anything between 5 and 6 will work. I've caught coyotes in 1.5 to 4. And be sure to read the fine print. Some states measure inside others outside and some even disallow lamination to count towards the spread.

Mind your placement and they work. 1.5 longsprings are not really adequate for coyote in my opinion. Maybe if they have pan tension and really stout springs. Member MTPCA, FTA and NTA
