Do you remove all traces of blood at a set after dispatching a catch or do you leave it?

I leave it but often cover it with grass or dirt some. Doesn't seem to effect anything.

We don't worry about it. Have caught on remakes with bloody sites.

If one was worried, they would use a catch pole and kill the animal outside the circle.

Blood can cause a digging response, so removing it off the trap and the trap bed, is just a good practice.
That said, blood inside from an animal dispatched can be covered with a bit of dirt .

Cow blood, makes a top notch predator attractant.
I used to get mine from the slaughter houses by the 5 gallon bucket

Again, different responses in different areas. Down here it won’t necessarily prevent a catch, but it will definitely lead to an aerial catch. They’re easy to release, but still the hassle.
Lt Grey, I’m gonna send you a PM of you don’t mind.

Cant stand handling bloody animals.
Only animal that may need shooting on a very rare occasion is a wolf.

Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.
