In loving memory.

At Travis's request, I am showing Zippie's likeness.

Travis says many folks here remember Zippie, from visiting on the grounds at trapping conventions. And recall the untimely accident that befell her, that he posted on here. Zippie is loved by many, an exceptional trapping and family partner.

Travis had some good photos of her, and the ones posted here are what I went by the most.

It is a difficult thing for me to try and capture the essence of a being, known and loved for years , that I've never met. My aim , always, is to have my clients happy . So, in something this special and important to a whole family and friends, I took a deep breath, and dove into this, taking time needed to get everything as spot on as possible.

They wanted her unique eye expression, and that "heart" of fur that they loved to see when she would sit right and it all lined up on her chest and belly. At 17x12 1/2 paper size, the details can be captured all the better. All that thick, wire-haired fur has a rhythm , like waves of the ocean. I was in Zen mode with it all.

I really love this quality paper, that comes in different colours , something to compliment about any subject. Being too large for my scanner, I took two images , one using the scanner and splicing it in halves, and the other, lighting with an Ipad. The scanned image allows for better focused details when zoomed in.

I waited restlessly after sending them to Travis to finally see. The family had been asking him how I was doing and when I would finish, so a lot was riding on this for me. They all loved it. Their 10 year old thought it was another photo that Travis sent me. That was my reward. I can breathe again.

In considering Zippie, it brings the reminder, to never let a day go by in telling the ones we love, that we love them. We never know if chance, and unforeseen occurrence , by way of an untimely accident, may befall anyone. Whether humans or animals, they all can tell when they are loved.

Tears are a good thing, it is all love.

Thank you, Travis , from one artist to another. I wish I would have known Zippie .

And thank you all, for viewing.

Awesome,

I'm sure Travis and his family will cherish it.

Here was me and Zip when she was a puppy she was a good dog and Sharon did a beautiful job. It's been hard getting started trapping this year she was by my side every day. I would get up some mornings to go check traps and she would be asleep on the seat of the 4wheeler so she didn't get left behind. Sharon you are a great artist and it shows in all your works and me and my family thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Sharon, I've always been convinced that God chooses certain talents for different people. He sure didn't forget you. Everything you draw or paint is more life-like than an actual photo.
You certainly have been blessed by God. You bring new meaning to the word, "Amazing!"
