Bidens recent bid is 36 Billion to the union pensions. To prop them up. (buying their votes in the future).

Atleast when Republicans are in charge they pass balanced budgets and work diligently to lower debt and weed wasteful spending... When was the last budget actually passed? An actual budget not theses Raise the debt calling spending sprees. Hint it has not been done in several adminstrations regardless of R Or D.

Try again PF. Just because a lie is kept alive doesn't make it true. Falicy of 40 hour work week Henry Ford did it first.

Ok for got the idea from ...The history of the 40-hour workweek August 20, 1866: A newly formed organization named the National Labor Union asked Congress to pass a law mandating the eight-hour workday. Though their efforts failed, they inspired Americans across the country to support labor reform over the next few decades How about that overtime pay, child labor laws, and the rest I posted I'm sure you don't enjoy any of that. Sadly you can't acknowledge or don't comprehend without unions you would still likely be living in company housing shopping at The Company Store and work in ridiculous amounts of hours.

It's a union's job to negotiate these things for their members, not have the government mandate( force employers to provide) them for non-members. Force is what communist do.

I've always said the one weakness of capitalism is greed....Unions were needed in the past, and they are needed now.
Are there unionized slacker worker abuses? Yep!.....Would there be worse abuses from greedy corporations without unions?....Yep!

Feel free to take another swing and miss. I bet not more than 5 to 10% of the 1500 in my plant vote D. There are a few old white guys still brain washed, the queers, and the black caucus. The rest well there are lots of fjb and Trump stickers inside the plant on hard hats and on trucks in the parking lot.

As far as your guards, I have had to fight them and build new ones that were USABLE instead of just meet the OSHA or MSHA standards. They can't even agree on what material and size to make handrails. To avoid fines from them USG had to take them to court after being forced to replace a couple hundred feet 3 times in 6 months. They couldn't agree where OSHA and MSHA jurisdiction line was.

You seem to think like my wife. Not everything is about to day and yesterday. It's about how thing have improved. From over 100 years ago. You don't have young kids working in factory with open belts many feet long and all the hazards. You don't have so many people walking around missing body parts. Yes it has gotten to overkill on the last decade or so. Trying to male everything idiot proff but it's a major improvement even if irritating at times. You seem to be confusing government incompetence and poor engineering with all safety advancements. Seems your probably to dug in and can't look objectively outside of your own thoughts. Funny you left out overtime pay. Company started offering pensions and health care and better wages. Some was to keep workers some was to keep out unions and compete with them. Everyone benefits from the advancement. Yes Ford did it when the union failed to get Congress to act. Have you ever done anything without first having an ideas? You seem to miss the entire point. Maybe it's on purpose maybe your only reading what you want the post to say or maybe I'm not articulating my thoughts well. Maybe all 3?

Companies started offering health insurance during WWI to get around government forced wage caps.
"That year (1942), the National War Labor Board forbade employers from raising their workers’ salaries — a wage cap. If our employer-sponsored insurance system has an origin story, it is this.
Beyond the wage cap, the labor board also ruled health insurance was exempt from the cap, so employers began to dangle health insurance as a benefit to attract the best and brightest.
The cherry on top: The IRS decided employer contributions to health insurance premiums were tax free, which meant workers paid less out of their pocket. "

We have a country of non-thinkers because of those “improvements”. I question improvement.

Providence, I get it . You feel ashamed that you continue to support communism with your union dues. At least that’s voluntary. You can quit the union. My taxes go to your pension regardless that I must by law pay them.

I don't agree with Gov. Bailouts.I also don't agree with all the freebies low life non workers receive in this country.I retired after 40 years in the Steelworkers Union. However,,I never approved of Public Sector Unions. In private sector Unions(like mine) the company negotiates with the Union,,deciding how much more of the companies money they can dish out as fair wages..With Public Sector Unions,,Polititions negotiate with the Union ,,deciding how much of OUR tax dollars they are willing to give the Union.Thats why public sector union workers usually have exorbitant pensions and benefits. It comes out of OUR tax dollars,,not some companies profits.

Unions are good even when there is no Union. The Mine where my son works had a push going on, a couple years ago, by some workers, to unionize. My Son was against it.They get many benefits from the company already same as what unionized companys in the same biz get. When the push was on to unionize the mine,The mine offered a substantial increase in the monthly production bonuses they pay. The push to unionize failed. But the fact the union push was on resulted in a large monetary gain for all the workers. Unions are good.
Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.
