I feel like I've got a couple of lifetimes in airplanes/jets. Like a couple of the earlier comments, I really dislike big commercial flights, not even knowing the pilot(s), stinky, bored passengers, and seemingly every airport taking something that's "not authorized". Couple years ago I go from Missoula, Montana, to Ulan Bataar, Mongolia. They let me through Sea-Tac okay, but take away hearing aid batteries(?) in Incheon, South Korea. On return flight, they take away my 6", 3/8" open-ended wrench (for adjusting MB750 pan pressure ) in Tokyo. Seems forever a hassle. I hope to never again fly commercial. The worst flights were in-country hops in Russia. Often times the Aeroflot planes wouldn't have seat belts. Sometimes, not even any seats (sit on the floor). I've had more than my share of "unscheduled landings" in Alaska (twice in fixed-wings, once in helicopter) that I'd just as soon never experience ever again. I'm no longer flying my own plane, but I think about it and miss flying a SuperCub every single day.

Not fear. But I get pretty stiff riding in a commercial airliner.

I'm afraid of crashing more than flying lol
