So many people dump corn into their deer feeders by the grain truck load that most Louisiana coons probably taste like they’re from Iowa. I laugh every time I see someone post a trail camera picture with 20 coons grubbing down at their deer feeder.

They could survive most of our winter in a T-shirt. Well, except for next week. It’s going to be really cold a day or two wink

.... yessir.. going to need to let the faucets drip for a couple of nights

.. we can only pray that the coyotes don’t decimate the coon population during that hard time

Insert profound nonsense here

Why aren't the coyotes feasting on all the coon in Iowa? We have plenty of both. The state is even considering an open season on raccoons next year. Is the coyote population so high because they are feasting on an abundance of Iowa coon, causing the coon to hyper repopulate and then causing the coyote to overpopulate too. I'm so confused......I guess we need some wolves and mountain lions. Lots of fat coon to feed them all...with some left over to render the fat into butter. Yummm

No kidding below zero next week. I got some steel in the ground to thin the yotes out to save some coons for the high line possums we have. Not only do our possums go top lot but that green stuff that comes from them makes the best energy natural moisturizing cream. Just don't get it close to ur lips it will make them go numb for a couple weeks.
