Iowa,
Iowa has limit. Yes Arkansas otter, this will be my 28th year going south. Thanks for all the kudos. There are some true artists with fur on this site who would have added a lot more pins in the tail and probably squared up the bottom edges but at today's prices I got them done as quick as I could without all the extra time invested. When they were hundred bucks plus I pleated the tails and used lot more pins.

Iowa,
I trapped south Georgia one time, man those otter were dark compared to Arkansas. I was told that color ..pale vs dark is more an east west thing than a north south thing.

Iowa,
A tip on skinning feet. I cut them off just above foot while out of state and finishing doing them when I get ready to scrape. I hang pelt from the nose and start skinning the foot then grab with vise grips. You'd be amazed at how much it spreads the toes when you clamp the visegrips on making it much easier to do individual toes. I use this method on all animals I skin with the feet on.

That is a heck of a nice lot of otter pelts I can understand why you are hoping for a fair price for them A whole lot of work to get them all hanging in a row like that . Only natural that you want to get a fair price for your efforts

How much money you think that will bring? According to one fur market, that's $3,625!
