It's weird how they travel like that. I have seen others consistently walk in the same spot again and again.

You MI guys keep your wolves closer to home! We don't need any more here in MN.

I have nothing clever to put here.

I am shocked, quite frankly, that they (wolves) haven't yet found the Elk herd in the northern lower peninsula, it will be very interesting to see what the response by the public and the MDNR is when they inevitably do.

Wonder which place he got an oil change and tune up! Too bad the collars can't indicate how many other wolves the individual encountered over those4,000 miles.

Un natural-Probably was forced to roam because of the collar.
Likely got ostracized from his own pack because of the collar, and would not be accepted by another pack or able to attract a mate for the same reason

Wonder how old it was? Looks like it swung by Wadena last summer to check out the new lure n stuff to watch/sniff out for. I though I was chatting with Mark Steck but he seemed a little bit off…..hahaha
He would’ve gotten close to the couple elk herds that roam south of Vita back n forth across the border.

You might be surprised....... or disappointed. MN wolves are doing some serious damage to recruitment of young moose calves, resulting in serious population decline, yet the public and DNR seem perfectly content to let it go on indefinitely.

Well then there'd be hundreds of the collared subjects running around like that one did ; because there's hundreds collared.

That's probably because your lieutenant governor doesn't relate herself as a moose. As part of the wolf clan she states that "We don't eat our own". Until we get some of those deadbeats out of office, nothing will ever change.

If we couldn't get them out in this election cycle, with all the crap that went on the last four years, we never will.

This story is fodder for PETA. They will use this to tie all packs together in all states and keep them on the protected list forever. Those states that have hunting / trapping will lose the ability because of this. A one in a million situation and it will be used against us forever as if it happens every day.

Boco you have an interesting concept with that said a neighbor killed a coyote in a night vision contest with a collar and this animal roamed over 400 miles and crossed I 70 numerous times makes me wander if he wasn't kicked from the pack as well ... Jon

I’ve heard about collared wolves getting the boot from a few people.
Round here, seems the yotes pack up only when required.

The MDNR will say, "its a natural feed for the wolves"! Then cry when most are gone.
