As most folks know, I’m still in the hospital recovering from a pulmonary embolism… I could have died if I didn’t get to the hospital in time. There’s a chance this could happen again,, even on medication, and could come without warning. I’m 52 guys!! Still waiting on dr this morning to see what ct scan. Showed,, if it’s been dissolved or not. They have me on eliquis,,, which is sposed to be good stuff,,, but after I leave the hospital, I don’t know how I’m going to afford it,,, it’s 5-600 bucks per month. Coumadin is wayyyy cheaper, but lots of side effects and not near as effective. I keep praying that god will comfort me, to ease my fears,,,, my favorite verse from the Bible is Joshua 1:9. Don’t be afraid, don’t be discouraged, don’t be dismayed,,, because good is with you always . I keep saying it over and over,, but I’m not getting anything from god.
Stand by your principles, Stand by your guns, and victory complete and permanent is sure at last.

Not getting anything from God?
He gave you a woman that cares enough to ignore your stubbornness, a Doctor with experience and knowledge that enables you to rest, but not in peace. You’re still here, be asking why and what you can do for Him and “leave the consequences to Him.”

If you know God, why would you fear graduation?
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgement!

Ignoring the fear is what can kill you.

I did Coumadin for 10 years after my heart stopped and I got a pacemaker and there was no side effects for me. I had to go get blood drawn every week and couldn't eat too much vitamin k. If I did it would change my dose. The doctor told me that if I was going to eat foods with vit k to do it consistently. I did and very little change in dose. I really preferred Coumadin over zarealto. With Coumadin you knew what your blood count was. The new medicines it's a guess. They can't test for consistency. I wouldn't worry too much. I worried enough for both of us when it happened to me. You are absolutely right with everything you've said. I take coumadin, have for about 5 years. I have to go in once a month to have my blood checked for consistency. The reason Eliquis and some of the newer drugs are so expensive is that there are no generics yet which would help reduce the price. The biggest problem that comes with a drug like Eliquis or Xarelto is that there is not a reliable anecdote should you have a severe bleeding injury. They can pump you full of vitamin K, but they can't be certain that it will stop the bleeding. This according to my cardiologist.
If removing guns saves just one life it's worth it. Then if deporting illegals saves one life is that worth it?

Joshua 1:9 is a great chapter/verse in the bible and I am glad you know of it. Keep the faith as there is a reason that the Lord took you to deep waters for he knows your resolve and that this trial will strengthen you.

I'd be scared. I hope you can get straightened out, and soon !
Have you always had health issues or did all these different issues just come about?

There comes a point liberalism has gone too far, we're past that point.

Do your due diligence looking after yourself healthwise, but dont shorten your life with worry. When your number is up-its up.

Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

I can't imagine anyone that wouldn't be scared in your situation, it's human nature. My dad had the same clots several years ago and is doing great. Put your trust in God and keep a positive outlook going forward. The stress of worrying about the cost and the small stuff compared to your health will eat away at you.
 United we stand,divided we fall.

Being afraid is natural. My favorite verse to pray over my fears is:2 Timothy 1:7 - For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Pray for confidence in God. .. that's what a sound mind means.
Pray that God will replace your spirit of fear with a spirit of power and love.

Physical challenges that we can't do anything about, are devastating to men in my experience, because they wreck self-confidence... All we can do is put our confidence in God, and keep moving forward.

Right now I’m having amnesia and déjà vu at the same time. I think I’ve forgotten this before.
