I worked at Kraft Foods for 38 and1/2 years. We had at least 4 people get heart attacks or strokes and be rushed to the hospital. Also had 1 guy fall from 2nd floor and was killed. Action was taken that was needed. The plant didn't shut down , we visited the sick ones after work. a football player doing his job has a heart issue, The NFL has to shutdown, is that what the sports have come to mean in our USA ? something doesn't seem right.

The NFL didn't shut down--the game in which the heart issue was incurred, was canceled. All other games went on as scheduled.

I was working as a straw boss on a Railroad tie gang back in the early 80's.One afternoon one of the older seasonal labourers had a heart attack on the job and died right there on the track. We tossed him on the Lorry and took him out to the crossing where the dispatcher had notified the paramedics to meet us.
Soon heard that he was dead and the Company shut down the gang and gave us the rest of the day off to mourn the passing of our colleague.
I overheard some of the younger labourers saying to each other-"too bad the old B------ didnt die this morning we could have had the whole day off"
I worked those pricks like rented mules the rest of the summer.

Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.
