I never did like thoes dogs. Thats one dog I would shoot to kill.
it is inhumane to shoot to wound as well as a poor choice when you want a stop.
always shoot to stop , unless dispatch then shoot to kill the fastest way possible.
stop and kill are two different things
if you want to kill most things draw an line from the top of one ear to the bottom of the other ear and repeat forming an X then shoot through the X to the tip of the nose.
if you want to shoot to stop you shoot whatever is available that is most likely to be a vital organ and a target you can reasonably hit , lungs , heart , major bone structure.
I don't have anything against the breed , the breed has a purpose , the issue is the owners of said breed seldom have a purpose, seldom understand the breeds purpose and thus don't treat the breed with the respect a powerful tool should be given.
as a breed it is a VERY powerful TOOL with great capability
think of a shotgun a very powerful tool , so you treat them with great respect you don't point it at anyone , you keep the chamber unloaded when traveling because the only thing keeping that hammer from falling on a round in the chamber is a little notch in metal , if you bang it hard enough it will let go.
the problem is to many of these owners use flawed logic of well the hammer hasn't fallen yet so it can't fall.
some even go so far as to remove any safeties, let it get into dis-repair, lighten the trigger then go for a bouncing ride with the mussel pointed at vital parts and then are all surprised when it goes bang one day.
