Its anti for sure but if the trap chain or whatever the chain is fastened with broke before the bear pulled out or trashed the trap it might happen. Seems to me the logical thing is to educate the trappers to secure the trap better. Dont take much to hold a 120ed martin. Some may not be hooked up good enough. Maybe a chain on both springs. A bear could easy pull hard enough to open up the spring eyes or pull the jaws out of a 1 1/2

There is a local FB group "Help Asheville Bears." or HAB. They claim a lot of local bears are missing limbs from people trapping them. They even go as far as to post this crap. Now the NC wildlife biologists say it stems from cars. And have stated so on the local news station. The animal rights people never have been accused of being very smart.

Wouldnt matter a bit he would pull it off with his teeth or just chew the 120 into a pretzel and it would fall off.

GEEZ!!!}

I'm hoping the Wisconsin DNR doesn't get wind of this. I can't imagine what kind of boxes I'm going to have to redo for my 160's..... and how much further than 5' above the ground are my 220's legal??

Just sayin'.

If you say it long enough and loud enough, eventually people will believe you. Unfortunately it's by far much harder to convince them otherwise.
