What caliber rifle & what grain bullet did you use, Squash ?

Thermal imaging or Infra-red scope ?

Walleyed, .223 , .55 gr, reloads, hornady bullet. My son loads them for me . Luckily didn’t hit a leg bone , shot through the ribs, 1” exit wound, easily sewn up. 150 yds. Shot 2 coyotes last week. No thermal or infrared scope, have bait station on the ice on a pond that my home overlooks, I’m able most of the time to see critters with the white background just with my regular scope. I have a wireless garage door alarm on the bait and a receiver in my home, it sounds off when critters are on the bait.

Mike, there use to be a few hound hunters around chasing cats, hard to find any hounds men now who want to hunt them. Most are chasing coyotes.

There was a mink farmer in Remsen who hunted cats. I visited him and he had 3 cat hounds in the front yard.

Sounds like a sweet setup for taking out predators
without a lot of sweat equity expended.

Good deal and nice bobcat.
