No thanks. It has already penetrated my shoes, clothes and hat i had on when checking my traps without any known contact and has since spread to my house and car. I changed clothes and showered before picking my kids up from school and my son told me as soon as I met him in the gym "you smell like skunk!" My wife is none too pleased.

Next time you skin a mink slash the glands,my wife hates when I do that. I used to do that at skinning demos all the time just for effect. I really enjoy mink musk.
Then there are those little stinkers called weasels.

1 quart hydrogen peroxide, 1/4 cup baking soda, 1 tablespoon dawn dish soap. Scrub the hide down good with that mixture, let it sit for 30 seconds or so and rinse well. It works great. I know it works cause my wife still lets me sleep in our bed if I use it after getting sprayed lol.

Most times they enhance the set. Make a new one close by incase there is a pair that comes by.

Pick up a bottle of Natures Miracle Skunk remover and keep it in your trapping vehicle for next time. The peroxide mixture works but has a short shelf life while this does not. I can find it at my loca tractor supply store or on Amazon.

I never liked natures miracle. It leaves behind a weird smell. Not skunky, just weird.

And it doesn't discolor the black fur? No it won't discolor the fur, as long as you're using the typical peroxide they sell at Walmart, etc....which is like 2% ish. Buy some super concentrated stuff and you might have some issues. If you're catching multiple skunks, it pays to skin and freeze them all and do them all at once. Saves on solution I found.

And it doesn't discolor the black fur? No discoloration that I've ever noticed. I never liked natures miracle. It leaves behind a weird smell. Not skunky, just weird. First time I've heard about that.

You can mix up a bunch of batches of the peroxide mix for what one bottle of the Natures Miracle costs. I did try the Natures Miracle and was not impressed by its performance compared to the price point.
I will stick with peroxide, baking soda and a squirt of dawn.
