I think the real problem with NFL football is that the average actual playing time in four 15 minute quarters is 10-12 minutes and the game lasts about 210 minutes with stops, reviews, time outs, halves, commercials. This gives us all a huge amount of time to discuss what happens in a few minutes. Now with all the stats we can now look at how well a QB does in the 2nd half on completions on third downs over 7 yards, etc. etc.
I agree that Brady, Rodgers and several others are well past their prime and there could be a lot of reasons even beyond their own skills and physical conditions as to why they can play the game for 15-20 plus years.
Yes these young QBS are better but will they have decades of success? Or probably even more important will owners be interested in long term solid teams or manage for the one and done?
