Anyone mount a scope on a model 94 top eject, Carried this rifle a long time, Love the way it points & carries. Have a hard time with iron sights as time go's on. So my question is, Anyone have a side mount, Looks like scope would have to be rolled to the left side of the gun to keep the turret from stopping the top eject. The good, The bad.

I'm having the same issue with irons . Luckily I have marlins and optics are easy to put on top of them.

My son in law inherited his Paps old 94 in 32 special and it was set up like I never saw before with a Leopold scope and mounts. It is mounted forward of the ejection port dead center on top.
At first I thought it would be awkward to see thru but when you pull up, the sight picture is right there, similar to using a pistol scope.

I started looking and now a days they're called scout scope and mounts.

This isn't his gun but a pic from online.

i like that scout scope set up, offset mounting seems like it ruins your natural alignment & cheek to stock weld, what about a tang mounted peep? even people with good eyesight often find a peep sight an improvement over the original buckhorn or notch rear sight.

Yes, I was impressed with the one on his gun. If I ever had a 94, that'd be what I'd use.

Out of stock at midway but I'm sure there's some to be had.

Have you tried using a peep sight? even after your eyes get old most guys can still use one. Wont need to drill any holes in your rifle. Can just drift the factory sight off with a brass punch and put in a wedge. or leave it off. the rifle is still factory stock. Just keep the rear sight.

Common here in Pa. I had one with the mount attached to the left side of the frame. Worked like a charm.

one option that works better than normal irons , but may not be enough for your eyes https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1828132532?pid=317428
you look through it so it doesn't change your focus near as much

there are also peep sighs that sit behind the ejection port

redots are also an option, that keep weight down and can be mounted low and put out like a scout scope https://www.mod94scoperail.com/Universal-Dovetail-Short-Rail-p138178939
a mount like this might work for you
the same company has other no drill mounts also
