Maybe you guys can help me out with this. I’m looking for a public shooting range to be able to shoot 1,000 yards. It could even be a pay by the day range. My Dad and I have a few rifles that we would really like to try at that distance. I live in western Virginia and would definitely be willing to travel and make it an overnight trip. Thanks

Kettlefoot Rod and Gun Club in Bristol Va was planning to put in a 1000 yd range. I don't know if they have yet.

you close to Bristol? if so contact Robert Vestal of Vestal's custom Guns, he builds rifles for the 2 mile shoots in va/tn/ky, he can tell you where the ranges in that area

I have one in my back Yard and I have it marked off. It is on my Farm and it is on the High Line where my Tri Pod stand is. I have evrywhere measured out to 1500 yards. I use a 7 mag and over the years have killed Deer all over that High Line from everywhere every Distance.

It’s a ways away from you but out here there’s millions of acres of public land where you can shoot 1,000+ yards in any direction you like, just have to bring your own target and bench

be prepared to have to shoot at shorter ranges to prove you can do it

many places will not let you shoot 1000 till you have shot 200 , 400 ,500, 600 ect if you can't hold a group or find your dope then your not moving longer
