Lets say you are going to buy a few dozen new 220s. What would you buy and why?

I’d buy bridger. I don’t use conibears really, but bridger is a brand that I trust, and they are pretty affordable.

Only two options IMO. Buy high end great traps like Belisle or buy the cheapest ones that function properly, that being Dukes.

I love the Belisle but if you can get by with Dukes and don't mind their short comings, like poor safeties and springs going around the corners of the trap, or are setting high theft areas, they work too. Any other mid range traps will have those same issues, may as well save the money. Give Bill a call I bet he'd cut you a deal on a pallet of them.

Then again if I had all your money I'd buy the Belisles.

BMI are my favorite. Quality made in USA traps at a price that is not going to make me cry if a couple get stolen.

Don't think you'll find anymore new BMIs unless someone's hoarding them.

Id go with belisles unless you're in areas where you have to donate a few traps every year.

I use 220s for coon and rats and I like the Dukes I use

I have all dukes and like them.

Bridger body grips are horrible

Belisle AND Rbg Over everything

But RBG over Belisle because the jaws don't bend like Belisle do

I would consider buying used 220’s. The tooling and materials were superior on the victor and BMI traps.

Rbg traps are the only trap that doesn't have the jaws bend from skull hits creating a gap. The material is the best on RBG

There are traps that catch trappers and traps that catch fur

Get the belisles

Dukes 220's and 160's here hammer the heck out of coon no problems and are affordable but like everything else it is what fits you budget etc... Jon
