Hello. Farmall H has a radiator leak. It only gets about 10 hours put on it a year. Has anyone used a radiator stop leak that works? Positive or negative what was the brand? Thank you for your time.

GM makes tablets that seem to work well. Read the directions, though, it takes more than one tablet. If it's copper you could try draining it and brazing/soldering it too.

Stop leaks are temporary. Pull the radiator and take it to a shop.

Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)

Roger that.
Stop leak will also plug your radiator core if used excessively.

And your heater core. Don't ask!

Like most have said removing it is the best and get it soldered. I had an "M" that had the same issue and stop leak product only lasted so long. I would bet the leak is on the bottom side where it rests on the frame.

When I redid mine, I also added some old rubber tubing for the radiator to rest on to help prevent future wear. Good luck in what decision you make, they are a bearcat to take off with water pump and pulley assembly though.

I’ve used bars and silver seal with success, on an H before you try to have it fixed price a new radiator, on my M it was cheaper to buy a new vs having it cleaned and checked, at least here you pay for cleaning and checking even if it can’t be fixed.

New radiator or radiator repair is best, but I've used a ton of different stop leaks cause I've driven a bunch of junk vehicle's,the best stop leak hands down is good ole black pepper I've never had it plug up a heater core, thermostat or radiator core, only leaks, a friend put 1/2 a can in his dodge pickup two years ago drives it every day and it's still holding.anytime I used commercial stop leak it was disaster.

If you ever have to sleeve an engine that has had stop leak in it, well lets just say its nasty. One radiator I used JB Weld and it held 4 or 5 years. The last radiator I had leak and went to get it fixed, it was going to cost more than 1/2 the price of a new one, so I went new. Around here finding anyone to solder a radiator or rebuild a starter is almost impossible. I can do the starters but soldering is not my gift.

I used it on my Case, and never had a problem with it for the 13 years I had it. Used it on my 2005 Titan as well. 3 years with no issue and stopped the leaks. But it has to be small leaks, if it's big JB weld will work. or take it out and have someone weld the channel closed.

I put some stop leak in a ford explorer that had a blown head gasket. 50,000 miles later it was still going strong when I gave it to a needy family that didn't have any transportation. Far as I know the motor is still going strong.

Many of the newer radiators are plastic now. Doubt the old style patch jobs work.

Take it out, find the leak and clean and solder it. Otherwise take it to a Radiator Shop but make sure they are reputable and like they said make sure you get yours back.

God please keep they 19 fallen UBB miners out of trouble up there.
