I don't have a FHA agent in Oregon either. But I'm sure glad they're there. To get my fur on the sales I have to drive up to Washington to meet with an agent who is usually amenable to meeting me somewhere near the border. If I have enough fur my price per beaver isn't too bad.
I generally like to sell my fur at our OTC sales and let the crafters get a look at it. But here's an example of how having FHA there really helps: Last March I had 68 beaver that crafters didn't want, (mostly blanket sized) that got a paltry offer of about $4 per pelt. I took those up to Washington and got $19.50 for the blankets on the FHA June sale.

Every option is good for trappers-like you said BP market to your advantage. I market my fur several different ways.

Just look at your paperwork,if you cant remember what you sent there. They arent going to waste trappers money paying someone to babysit a computer or phone in the off season for a bunch of whiney Karens They wouldn't need anyone babysitting anything if they had functioning online access, which they didn't for months, without explanation. See how that works? You know, technology to save money, but then again, you have your head so far up their posterior it's amazing you can breathe. Not at all,all trappers need to support their own auction house.

I emailed them and had everything updated in one day. X 2 !!! ^^^^^THIS^^^^^ I emailed Cheryl and had all my website issues resolved within 24 hours. I don't believe that half of the belly-aching taking place is legitimate. Try sending a respectful e-mail, and be patient, and I'd bet you get your issues resolved. walleyed

Most trappers don't want to put in the extra effort to market their fur. I thought that was what the middle mans job was, and part of the reason you pay 11% commission.

"Click here to send us a message"..................and it wouldnt let me click on it. What a class act business. Maybe the Canadian spokesman can help a guy out but Im sure he will just try to belittle me instead.

Not a fan of their new website. The past sales page stinks BAD. Already miss the old "outdated" page and not to mention it only goes back one year.

I wouldnt answer your e-mail either with that attitude. If that response was for me I never sent an email, it wouldnt let me click on it. Kind of like their phone isnt working LOL. Must work for everyone else but me. Somehow, I knew your reply would be caveman like- yep I was right.

Maybe you can try bypassing the click-on-it hyperlink and just straight-up e-mail her like you normally do with anyone else. cherylb@furharvesters.com It has worked for me multiple times. Sometimes those e-mail hyperlinks get gummed up. When you do get through, let cheryl know that the hyper-link is not functioning properly. walleyed

Very unhelpful to lose our historical records of our past auctions. FHA should have left it alone as it was not broken. walleyed

I see some on here that think all in beaver prices at 40$ is great ,,, but it s really not a good average unless it smalls and kits included imo. That is almost liveable ,, it like bobcat prices right now it looks good but Utah has some of the best cats in the country. Unless bc and c d belly cats are included in a 396 ave. It's not that great in imo. A 300$ ave. Tit belly,,, and kits included is doable on a high population year. There are some on here like these prices on beaver do not buy into it 80$ blankets is where it needs to be and once was. Just few thoughts Hi MJM how goes it.
