I think weighing fish unless you put them in a net or cradle is a bit hard on fish so I just measure and release

That is a beautiful fish and it looks like it did run out a lot of line. Were you able to get it all wound back up without tangling grin ? Good job!

It takes a very heavy 41-inch pike to go over 20 pounds but that one is a wide load so I would say 23 is realistic. It's thick from end to end. Nice.
