So I've thought about removing stock springs and replacing them with bigger more powerful springs like the 1216 springs or Sauvageau 11x12 springs for more power and speed.

Thoughts on this idea and do you think it will improve the speed and power?

I enjoy tinkering and trying to improve upon stuff

Save the land, resist against developers!!!
We don't need more houses.
I've lost too much trapping land to new housing developments.

330Trapper- How much flex do you get in the middle of those when they are sprung?

Why do I carry 10mm? Because shooting twice is just silly.

Why punish yourself with stronger springs for an animal which essentially is just trying to see if it's head will fit in a square hole. I have a number of 330s which have springs which are a bear to set. I leave those at home until i run out of the easier to set springs. Those work just fine. A 330 with weak springs still works like a anaconda on a small deer. Every time it wiggles, the trap gets tighter. Then it is night night time.

I wouldn’t put stronger springs on a 330. There’s zero reason to in my opinion

Buy some Belisles and you are good to go. Poor jaw design can not be helped with a stronger spring.

I think I have caught 1 or 2 beaver in traps larger than 330. Wasn't impressed either time.

You couldn't have had Belisle 660s then
