"Out of Warranty " of course called the Company "Sure-send it it only $107.00 to repair " Plus shipping I'd be into it for $140 to $150.00 ; a new one I's $ 229.00 plus tax. Poor customer retention plan if you ask me.

Most businesses today make it about impossible to even get ahold of a human to talk with if you do then they “ain’t from here”. I always though the phone companies would be easier to get a hold of but they are the worst.
I found if you want results try to find them on Facebook then post about the nightmare and the problem will get the attention it deserves that way.

That is just about with everything, no service is the time we live in now. Have you ever used solar type fencers? We have good luck with these. https://parmakusa.com/product/magnum-solar-pak-12/

Never knew they made a Solar powered one with a 3plus joule rating I built my main fence with 9ga galvanized high tensile wire so the smaller .5 joule box's don't work That's pretty nice Snowy but over $300

^ True. It does make a difference too, if you have AC right there. Most places don't have power so that does make a difference on solar use. If charged, they don't need sun light for 2 weeks and still well.

these days I almost expect the warranty and life time of anything to be warranty +180 days
5 year warranty expect it will make 5 1/2 years and your doing what they expect.
almost nothing is made to be repaired. as one manufacturer told me the other day and they do have a lifetime warranty below the X line they will be sending you a new one if it is broken , they destroy it getting it apart because it is glued shut as the less expensive way to make it air tight.
because they do have a good lifetime warranty you can expect a good long life but things do break
if it is above X line they can take it apart and will replace parts if the housing isn't the issue the cheapest product in the X line is $700 most of them are over 1k.
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

What type od critters are you fencing in?? Horses do not take much USUALLY!! But cows will bull right though a fence that is not well lit up. Currently goats. But I got the brand recommendation from Joel Salitain and he runs cows rotational grazing them and moving them each day. His farm is called pollinate farms and is in swoops Virginia. He is a pretty big deal in the homesteading community. Got to meet him the first time at the motherearth news fair conference he was the key note speaker and the main reason I went to the conference having read several fo his books. They make from .5 joule to I think 24 or 36 joule energizer. So you can choose how hot you need.

Take the cover off and a lot of times you can see what burnt out on it to replace . If no visible shorts start replacing parts until find the problem . Most dealer's carry replacement parts and if there a small town Mom and Pops store you can probably bring fencer in to try different parts to find right one . Remember after taking cover off to use a screw driver to short out hot and ground post ( it holds a charge )
