Just from yesterday the back deck was about clear the other day, over my trapping boots in front of the house up to the back on my chubby beagle.

Valentine NE has had 60" this winter. Last summer was the driest I'd ever seen up there. Should have green grass this spring!

Life ain't supposed to be easy.

This storm brought us 5 inches Monday and another 2 overnight. It wasn't the big dump they were predicting but they did get more just South of here.

I have nothing clever to put here.

Here it’s the drifting with that fine snow that gets through everything nook and cranny.

Might take a few years for the rats to catch up this is the first excess moisture we’ve had in several years, ice under the snow it should be a decent runoff.

SD has got the donkey kidded out of them, since fall of 2022 with weather. I have friends in the hills and west side of state, and they been fighting it for 5 months now.

We skated through the last several winters pretty easy we would get snow then it would warm up and be gone in a few days.

Yep, getting sick of it. Been spoiled the last couple years. However, we need the moisture so hope the trend continues. The say March looks active so could be a late spring!

Yeah I've seen that too. March is above average moisture for the entire west, Dakotas, Mt, Idaho. I say letter eat we need to crick and dams to run and fill. I depend on cricks running almost all year and it was brown here till this last week when we got a little snow. Had a lot but all melted in the last 7 weeks.

As close as you are to the lake, I would think if it blows across there it would be much worse. Ice doesn't stop much snow. I have drifts at tim in the yard that are over the door on the shop. I have trees on three sides, but it still piles in.

Lake is straight south of the house not much wind from that way in the winter months this was the fluffy powder snow it moves rather easy, the neighbor that clears the driveway said he had a waist deep drift by his shed then came out a few hours later and it was about gone.
