I too wanted a Trump/DeSantis ticket but learned on Clay & Buck today that according to the 11th amendment, if both are on ticket from same state, they would have to forfeit all electoral votes from that state. So, one of them would have to move out of state, or give up 20 electoral votes to the dems.

Trump never had the stomach to get things done with congress. He told everyone that during the primaries but nobody listened. Desantis is getting it done in Florida. Obviously Congress is a tougher nut to crack but he'd be willing to crack it. Everyone also forgets that Trump had to be dragged into shutting the government down then gave up the fight just so he could give the SoTU.

We’ve got to win in 24 Trumps biggest problem is he attacks people publicly in his administration plus he’ll tweet out Lebron James or some other high profile athlete or movie star when you should just ignore them but he is a business man and doesn’t think like a politician it’s not the hard core republicans we’ve got to appeal to the independents… Jon

He shouldn't of had most of the people he hired in his administration. Pretty much all of them were the establishment types that we all rail about. His daughter and son in law were big liberals in charge of a lot policy. Only good. Continues to endorse establishment politicians vs conservative candidates. How did we get Fetterman in PA again?

Trump is unelectable at this point. If DeSantis runs you won't have to worry about Trump winning he won't be on the ticket!

It doesn’t matter how many independents DeSantis gets, he doesn’t win without Trump supporters. They’ll be sitting home on Election Day if he isn’t on the ticket.

That’s of course assuming we have a fair election.

One important fact about Trump getting back in is he's had an education that most R's and all the D's do not have America as their first concern.
I would hope that he would go scortched earth on alot of Washington if he got in again.

Other than that I think Trump continually shoots himself in the foot.
An example is his constant bringing up the last election and how he was cheated.
True enough but there is nothing you can do about it so shut up, learn from it and move on.

and if we are talking about turns. it would actually by Ted Cruz's turn. GOP history is that that the second place finisher of the previous cycle gets the nomination. 2016 would of went to santorum but he didnt even get a delegate out of iowa and dropped out.

If Trump is on the ticket, I would certainly vote for him. My concern is if he isn't on the ticket, he could run as an independent which would split the republican vote. Trump can't control his temper is what his biggest problem is. The media ate it up when he opened his mouth and made him look like a fool even when he was right. Making negative remarks about celebrities that make nasty comments should be ignored. It comes with the territory.

But, if the democrats cheat on the election, it really doesn't matter who runs.

He won’t run independent, but he won’t be able to rally his supporters to push DeSantis over the line either.

If DeSantis gets elected it will be democrats that do it.

Regardless we have to win it doesn’t matter Trump or anyone I will support any R period

I'm a trump supporter and so are all my friends and we all concur Trump can't win a general election at this point. The momentum is with DeSantis right now.
