A lot of stuff has just about doubled.

Those small chicken cordon bleu things that Aldi sells used to be 99 cents , now $1.99.

It's crazy. I know I can't come out of a grocery store without spending $4-500.00 it seems. I will say, I don't really pay attention to the individual price of items though, I buy what I need. I already know it is going to cost more. Same with gas prices, I need it to get to work and back so I just pay the man at the counter and fill it up.

I don't understand how people who have a mess of kids are doing it. I only have two kids and then I seem to feed snacks to the neighbors kids most days also. Can't keep a banana or apple around here. I wonder how long it will be before it comes back down or if it ever will.

It’s deer hunting, not deer passing.

If I have a tag, I’m ready to drag.

Def. hurting the folks trying to make ends meet. We buy whole pigs, steers, etc. from local farmers but still feeling the increases (have three freezers). Also, can afford to buy bulk everything from bathroom supplies to water softener salt again still feeling the increases. Can not imagine the pain someone buying stuff day by day is going through. We need change!

I don't care if things are 50% off at Walmart, I won't darken their doorway.

I have nothing clever to put here.

I wonder if it has anything to do with all the free money that got dumped into the system.

I used to buy those chicken cordon bleus by the case, for 59 cents each, after swapping out the chicken Kiev's and chicken and brocolis. The last two weren't bad, but they weren't as good. I ate 2 chicken cordon bleus, for a meal, several times a week.

The Aldi beef and bean burritos were 17 cents back then. I ate loads of them too. I bet they are a lot more now.

Not groceries but... down south people use a lot of pine straw... pine needles people use as mulch. When I started at Lowes 4 years ago, a bale of pine straw was $2.97. The next year it was $3.27. Last year is was $4.37. This year? $6.18.

8% my arse.

The official inflation figures have been a blatant fabrication for at least 30 years

Shop the local sale ads they put in their fliers and online deals. Learn how to penny shop at dollar general. Haven't counted yet, but bought several hundred light bulbs yesterday for $0.24. One store was .22 and other didn't even want to count and scan and told me .02. Last year we got laundry soap for a penny and 12 pack toilet paper discontinued for $1.25. Also paper towels. Got enough for next 5 years. Plus home raise beef, pork and shoot 3 deer + garden/ fruit trees.
