Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

LOL, they gave 74 MILLION to BLM, and are now getting bailed out with OUR money.

Nothing but a money laundering scheme...

Banks are more worried about their ESG risk score vs their financial risk.

That's pretty obvious looking at their investment team and risk management chief.

I seen today where some big Swiss bank is going belly up.
Apparently lots of rich middle east oil gods have their money there.
Probably trying to withdraw it.

I heard a bunch from Israel brew over a billion out of SVB a couple weeks ago. They must have gotten a heads up.

If you won a billion dollars with Powerball, where would you park the money?

I'd give almost all of it away-who needs that headache?
Maybe keep a couple hundred grand under the mattress just for spending money.

Failed bank's management called out for woke 'obsession,' Democrat-filled board: This is 'madness'.

Since Silicon Valley Bank collapsed, critics have called out the bank's "woke" priorities, and left-wing political agendas, questioning the banking and investing experience of the company's leaders.

"Like everything else in our age, the obsession is not to do with expertise. It is to do with this madness of the so-called D.E.I. project," Fox News contributor Douglas Murray said on "Fox & Friends" Wednesday. "And if we don't learn from this, if banking sectors and others don't learn from this, I don't know when we will."

I work for a Bank and this issue is on everyone's mind. I know they were the 16th largest bank, but they had rich customers. For instance the Bank I work for (one of the top ten banks) has an average deposit amount of $21,000 per customer. That SVB had an average of $1 million per customer (FDIC only insures $250,000). When the valley started letting people go, People started to move out and the customers took their cash out of the that Bank. You can imagine the problems when a bank keeps losing $1million every time someone moves their deposits. Also that bank made a stupid move and put a lot of their investments in long term growth. since the rates have increased, their long-term investments did not grow or generate enough cash for them. I am not sure why the Bank regulators let them get away with that.

That's what I just heard someone say.......

The regulations are fine, its the people doing the regulating right now that are the problem.

I'm glad I don't have money. Rich people don't seem to be very happy and none of them have caught a 24" rainbow.

Life ain't supposed to be easy.
