Plowed out of my driveway , two feet of new snow. Thank goodness for 4x4. The plow man should be getting here asap.

Main roads ok here, but they stay decent , west of the divide, with much less dang wind and drifting.

There's a group on FB that are very good in moment by moment answering people's inquiries and asking questions, even as they drive. Not a few are truckers. They often even post photos and short videos as they travel. All over Montana. In a second, you can find out about almost any road , north to south, east to west.

The best weather moment by moment reporting I've seen. I've been monitoring them as best I can. If there is another site that does this, if one isn't on FB, that would be a good thing to have.

My road never gets plowed on the weekend. They may not get to it until mid day Monday, but I don't need to go anywhere. I will wait and clean it out with the skid and snow blower on Tuesday. It shows low 30's for highs with a South/Southwest wind at 20mph I can blow a lot of it into the pasture. I just heard Minot had 13", that is 25 miles east of me. You add wind 30-40 with gusts it piles up in places.

MJM, I am happy to be back in KS with no snow in sight. smile Daughter was wrestling in Jamestown and after she was beat out of the tournament I had two fellas in SD tell me to get out while I could. I am sure glad that I listened. As bad as the roads was driving out last night I would not have wanted to see it today. Sounds like the winds will be up for a couple of more days. crazy Beautiful country you live in, but the winters are not for me.

A E It is flat blowing and snowing here yet. It should stop a couple hours before daylight daylight is what it is showing. If you would have been on the road today you would not have seen much, you would have been too busy trying to stay on the road.

It can get your attention sometimes. Did you go in on 14 or the freeway? I used to drive 40 miles to work one way. I would leave at 0600 to be to work at 0730. Most the time I was a half hour early, but some times I was late. But the boss knew what time I left for work and didn't care if I was late. Some days were a slow go.

9" here yesterday.
I pulled hay home last evening...with a borrowed 1977 4x4 F250 diesel
Could barely see the road.

Actually the highline poles were my guide. Got the hay into My driveway parked out of the way.

I don't think anyone hauled hay home in ND yesterday. I would not have wanted to be out moving hay. It stopped after 0245 this morning. I woke up then and again at around 0400. Freeway is still closed between Dickenson and Bismarck. A lot of the roads are marked scattered ice now. It looks clean and fresh for the most part. I got a e-mail from harbor freight this morning, saying today was the last day of the parking lot sale. I thought that was funny. I bet it was pretty slow sale, other than the wind and snow.

Nothing last night in central SD again just very windy so travel should be normal except for the wind depends what direction if it will help or hurt you getting around.

3/15 Snowing and blowing again. Right on time. I am not sure it is a blizzard, but I would not want to out driving in it.

They are forecasting a bunch more global warming here too. They were calling for another 10 inches and 35 MPH winds but I haven't looked for an updated forecast. I am running out of places to pile snow.

I have nothing clever to put here.

Thursday the 9th we got 14 inches, quite wet and heavy so drifting was not a huge issue. Saturday night the 11th and Sunday the 12th we got 8-9 inhes more. Got windy Monday and lot of tough patches on the roads. Wife had knee surgery the 8th so keeping doors, walkways and drive ways open has been a chore with the PT sessions etc. We got 400-500 white 5 and 6 gallon buckets out on trees and we are getting some mid teen nights to freeze stuff up. Hopefully we can open the trails empty so we can haul with ur 4 wheelers and trailers. Looks like a mix of snow, freezing rain and rain again Thursday afternoon and night.

I'm working in Fargo for the next couple of days. The drive out yesterday was terrible. 40 mph winds and a plethora of snow makes for a crappy drive. I thought this trip would be a good time to get my truck in the shop for some routine maintenance while I was out of town so I rented a car for the trip. If this little Nissan Altima makes it back to St. Cloud in one piece, it will be a miracle. I told my better half to shoot me if I ever try to trade my truck for a car! crazy

Forecast here is rain tomorrow, freezing rain tomorrow night and 5-8 inches of snow Friday on top of the 2+ feet on the ground already. Lovely.

This looks wetter than the last we got. But I have not been out in it. It is out of the NE again and wind is cranking pretty good. The tar roads we just getting where there was more tar than ice in some areas. This should change that.

Where you live (during a blizzard) is something VERY FEW can comprehend how bad it can be!!

bnb you went in on 14 and past Walmart then. If we didn't have the wind you could almost get around. The blade came down the road Monday. Yesterday I went in to Berthold. The sun was out and we had a high of 37. The wind was out of the south then swung SW. The road had drifts that were tall enough some was getting on the wind shield when I hit them. The ditches are over full and in a lot of spots the road is the low spot. So it fills in pretty quick. This is a tree row that run North and South just NE of the house. Pic two is looking from the house SE. I may need to move a little snow to get the PU put.
