As a student of history, then you should know that meat grinder is the MO for Russia. They never have and will not go gently into that good night. Especially, this time.
Cannon fodder my foot; looks to me like they are kicking and taking out all of the UKs armory, and pushing them back. If that was not the case, then why is that little weasel Zelensky running around to all the countries in the west begging for money and supplies?. The west does not have the stomach for what is about to come down the pike IMO.

biden threatened to do a regime change in russia...maybe they want to keep the current regime and are preparing to do that. zelensky also said he would put uke tanks in red square...which is in moscow.

NATO and the EU want what Russia has, and they are going to do everything in their power to get US boys and girls to get it for them. That includes, BS propaganda, war crimes, chemical weapons, crimes against humanity, Russian expansion into Europe, etc. Anything to justify a war.
Sadly, many of our bought and paid for politicians, along with some of our populace have bought it hook, line, and sinker. I think our populace is just that naive, but our politicians on the other hand have to be doing it for the money, as I guarantee they don't give a rat's behind about Ukrainian children any more than they do our own. If they did, they would be defending our borders, and not Ukraines.

There is no way the free world will allow any country to take over weaker countries in this day and age. And the whole world is on board with that. Except of course the worst human rights abusers on the face of the earth-Iran North Korea and China-Putins only "friends" LOL.
