Bobcat, the other white meat! Good eats there. My son and I like to smoke it and we have made a bunch of folks believers!

I talked to elk hunting guide once and he said he would rather eat mountain lion then elk.

Beav, I 100% agree with him. I would rather have moose than elk too. But bobcat, lynx and mountain lion are all better than moose too.

I'm not going to lie . I'd have to be getting hungry before I ate cat meat. You guys make fun of the Chinese and Koreans resturants for serving cat , LOL

It looks like I am going to get my chance. I’ve been hanging out at former team and member PCR’s fur shed the last couple of days and today he gifted me a good amount of bobcat meat from a cat he caught last fall.

Eh...wot?

I took it to work and barbecued a bunch...noone failed to get seconds and even the nicely dressed office ladies who originally scoffed at the idea ate more than their share. Barbecued with Lowery's and it tasted very much like lean pork chops, much like cougar. Go figure!

I’ve never had it before but it certainly looks delicious. I have had cougar and it was good so I’m sure a short tail would be too! When I was young my dad would tell me how good it is every time I got a cat. Guess I should have listened LOL.
