It would seem like it's like a trophy. Lol.

The first pic and the last pic were about 5 mins apart. Just walking around the bush with a head.

I found it kind of funny lol

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

My novice hunter and I were Turkey hunting a couple years ago and it was his first time hunting. On the ride to get to the hunting spot I told him if coyote comes in shoot it in the head. Well no turkey but a coyote came in with the rear half of a jersey calf in its mouth. He shot in the head at 28 steps from us. He turned to me and said when you told me this morning to shoot a coyote in the head if one came in. I thought you were joking 🙃!

Our deer biologist would say it was most likely a road kill. Coyotes normally only kill mice, voles and moles.

Hutchy- How far away from a good sized populated town or from the shore of Lake Huron were these photos taken?

This is 150 yards from my trapline cabin, on the shore of Georgian Bay. My town of 250 people is about 3 miles away through the bush. Nearest road is about 2 miles away. The camera is set on a main deer migration area, and this canine is just like all the other ones I trap.

About 65-70 lbs.

I should sled out there this weekend and find the kill site. About this time of year I usually drive around and count the deer kills. One year when we had a particularly harsh winter and deep snow I walked around the deer yard and counted the kills (deer hair mostly by then).

There were hundreds. Some only 100 yrds apart.

Its important to note that these are not 30 lb coyotes, nor are they 100 lb wolves. These canines eat primarily deer all winter long, and switch back to beaver as a primary food source come spring and summer.

The biologists who say they don't eat deer can eat $hit.

The most wolves ive ever killed in a snare site was 4 in a night, when they chased a deer into the snares and ran around till they all got caught.

The wolves here don’t leave anything except a bunch of stomach content. One year on my beaver line the wolves left a pile of stomach content every mile for 30 miles, no trophy hunters here!

I love the smell of burning spruce---I love the sound of a spring time goose---I love the feel of 40 below---from my trapline I will never go!

Cool photo, Hutchy. This beast must be one of those Algonquin Wolves Ontario is always talking about? Also, the deer must have not been dead long.....it's eyes were still reflective.
