Set on sign they said…so I did. Found ONE set of coyote tracks on March 14 and placed 3 sets at an intersection of a road and feed trail. During that time burning took place and feed trail’s harrowed up twice (just smoothing them out from ruts created during the season.)

Last night he came back through…the set that caught him was a DEEP augured dirt hole set. A scent post set was East of it and a flat set South, just wanted to make sure I had the winds covered, lol.





Notice the time. one reason I like waiting until as close to daylight as I can squeeze out and not be late for work.

Also notice the flag in the first pic…standing up.
Second pic it’s not, but he’s still not caught. He circled from the back side I’m guessing.
I believe the third pic is when he made a mistake, lol.

Looks caught to me in 2nd pic. He's pulling against that right front foot.

I would have missed that coyote. I have most traps checked by then. I have came back in the afternoon a couple times to do remakes and have a coyote waiting for me at another set. I'm not sure if those were caught in the daytime or around the time you caught that one

I checked almost exclusively in the dark this year and know for a fact I ran off a few critters. Good catch!

Thats how to get it done Wanna Be. Those cams sure help to educate us as to what really happened in most cases.
